POST BUMP:
After quitting backyard wrestling I hit the gym to get in top shape for training in the Independent leagues. I was already a skilled amateur wrestler from High school but I wasn’t “large”. I spent a year and a half of preparation putting on about 50 lbs of muscle mass, finally becoming ready to train to wrestle professionally.
Sadly, it ended up being with a very Indy fed that only cared about money. I got injured in my first pro match. While I was recovering I became sickened by the BUSINESS that is professional wrestling (because it really is nothing but a business) and called it a day. I then focused on and eventually finished college.
