"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Hulk Hogan for the WWF Championship @ WrestleMania V (5)- Savage champion coming into the match
These two spent most 0f 1988 as the dominant tag team, Mega Powers, with Elizabeth as their valet.
Savage started to get jealous of Hogan and issued the challenge…for the belt.
During the match, their was the early spot where Savage had Liz escorted to the back, because she was a distraction. Savage had Hogan bleeding from the outside rail at one point. I was 8, so of course I believed the action. I remember Hogan doing his "Hulking Up" number and dropping that oh so deadly Leg Drop to win his 2nd WWF Championship.
That was the first Mania I watched in its entirety. Still one of my favorites to this day. Savage was so athletic back then and played a helluva heel.

The most exciting part was when Edge speared Mick through a burning table
Becuase it was Hardcore. WWE doesn’t have any Hardcore matches any more so it was cool to watch it. I mean it was awesome they used tumbtacs, bardwire, fire, tables, it was just awesome.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs the Rock (Wrestlemania X-7)
Stone Cold won and he shocked the world when he made a deal with Satan himself (Mr. McMahon)
The whole thing was exciting but when Stone Cold hooked Rock with the Million Dollar Dream (that is my favorite part I don’t know why)
It has two of my favorite superstars and it’s seen as the end of the Attitude Era and what a way to end with an unexpected heel turn
Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels is a VERY close second on my list

I don’t care what anyone says, but Wrestlemania 19. Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels. I can think of a lot of great matches. Like The Rock vs Stone Cold. HBK vs Angle, McMahon, Rick Flair, or Taker. Benoit vs HHH vs HBK. Lesner vs Angle. TONS!!! But it has to be that one.
HBK won the match.
There was no real stipulation. Just a one on one match. However. The background was interesting. HBK had made his return in 2002, so for the first time, Jericho gets to meet his favorite pro-wrestler as another successful wrestler himself. It was noted that Jericho was like HBK when he started the business. He wore the same attire. Had the same charisma and the same resiliency. He was labeled as the next HBK. However, he chose to not accept that title, calling it tainted, and decided to be the next Chris Jericho. So the match was so Jericho can prove he was better then HBK, but he lost.
The whole match was exciting. Some great moments was when Jericho had HBK in the walls of jericho outside the ring. Then Jericho tried to do sweet chin music and ended up tasting one from HBK. And the finale where they were at the top rope and HBK counters a superplex to a cross body. That match was just so exciting from the beginning to the end.
For one thing, HBK and Jericho are my favorite wrestlers. If you look at most of my answers, you can tell. I’m not denying that I am a mark. And it was probably the first pure wrestling that I saw. I started watching wrestling in 2004, so it was Wrestlemania XX that I saw first. Then I was hooked and decided to buy the other wrestlemania’s. 19 was the first one I saw out of my collection, and I was just so amazed by that match, that, to me, that was the standard that all other great matches can be compared too. Like Ric Flair and Ricky the Steamboat. Plus it got me to become a fan of Jericho and HBK since I was only watching Smackdown at the time. Plus the ending was great. Jericho and HBK hugged and Jericho kicked him down there. So it was also saying not all thing end well, which I like.

p.s., why is it most people who answer dont realize there were WrestleMania’s BEFORE this decade. Todays matches can never compare to Hogan/Andre, Hogan/Warrior, Savage/Steamboat. Im just saying.
Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 25.
When I saw Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania XXI, I thought that you would never see a better match where no weapons are used. Not just getting caught up in the hype because WrestleMania was only months ago, but this just might be the best WrestleMania match that I have ever seen. As far as storyline goes it was built up very well. As far as in ring action goes, it was a privilege to watch. As far as ring psychology goes, it was a master class. As far as crowd reaction goes, that much crowd reaction hasn’t been seen since Hogan vs The Rock. I truly believe that while we thought we may knew who is going to emerge victorious, it’s more about how the winner gets there, that matters the most. The match between the Undertaker and “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, was an example of how great a match could be, and no one could complain about how the match ended. The Undertaker attempted to hit Shawn with his fists to open the match, but HBK kept evading the blows.
Each competitor executed their finishing move a few times, but each one kicked out of the other’s signature move. Frustration was evident on the faces of both these superstars, especially the Undertaker’s. At one point during the match, Shawn was on the outside of the ring. Undertaker was about to dive, but HBK pulled a camera man in front of him, and Undertaker accidentally jumped on the cameraman. I honestly thought for 5 seconds that The Undertaker had broken his neck and died live at WrestleMania.
The end came when Shawn was climbing the ropes to do a moonsault. The Undertaker caught him in mid-air, and nailed his “Tombstone” reverse piledriver for the pinfall victory. The match lasted a little over half-an-hour and was one of the greatest matches I have ever seen. The fans were into it – half were chanting “Let’s go Taker”, while the other half were chanting “HBK”. At one point, the fans were also chanting “This is awesome.” The Undertaker is now 17-0 at WrestleMania. What a record! In my opinion, this was his best match ever at WrestleMania. Shawn Michaels brought out the best in his opponent, and showed why he is also known as “Mr. WrestleMania.”. Nothing else on the show came close to being this good. JR claimed it was like a living heaven on earth after seeing this match. Fans will be talking about this match for decades like some of the other great WrestleMania matches. An instant classic which the crowd gave a standing ovation to both legends after the match. And Mr. Wrestlemania is just as worthy as Ric Flair to be included on the list.
